frequently asked questions

What if my feet are ticklish...can I still get Reflexology?

I have had many clients warn me I might get kicked. But you can rest assured, the level of pressure I apply to your feet is nothing like tickling. I haven't been kicked yet.

Do I have to get undressed?

For reflexology I only need access from your knees to your toes. You can either wear loose fitting pants that can fold up to your knees, or if it's warm enough, you can wear shorts.

Will it hurt?

The main reason for applying pressure to your feet is to break down the calcified crystals that form under the surface of your skin. Depending upon what your body is going through, or has gone through in the past...there can be scar tissue that will cause tenderness on parts of your feet. I normally go over each reflex three times. If it is tender the first time, it should be less tender by the second time and usually almost unnoticed by the third.

I always tell my clients, 'Let me know if you want me to work it out or ease off.' I do not want to cause you any discomfort.

Do you use oils or lotions?

At the end of a session I use a combination of fractionated coconut oil and pure essential oils to massage your feet & calves. I usually have 2 to 3 different scents for you to choose from. And of course if you prefer, I have unscented as well.

Will my extended health insurance cover Reflexology?

There are many extended health insurance companies that do cover Reflexology. You will have to check with your individual company to be sure. And I can provide insurance receipts for your session. Just remember to ask me for it.
